Investigation into Fatal Crash at 10200 Bissonnet Street

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 10200 Bissonnet Street about 2 a.m. today (June 9).

The identity of the deceased male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer K. Johnson reported:

A preliminary investigation indicates the victim, a pedestrian, was walking across the street in a crosswalk at the above address when he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling eastbound.  The driver fled the scene without rendering aid.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.  

Anyone with information on the wanted vehicle and driver is urged to contact the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or speak anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
