WHAT: House fire.
WHEN: April 28, 2023 at 3:40 p.m.
WHERE: 12000 block of Wedgehill Ln. 77077.
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: $500,000 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $150,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find smoke coming from a garage, breezeway, and attic of a 2-story house. They controlled the main body of the fire and checked for extension. Additional units were requested due to the progression of the fire and size of the house. The crews ventilated the home and conducted searches. The fire was extinguished and contained to the garage and breezeway with the house suffering from heavy smoke and water damage. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Firefighters from Stations 2, 28, 78, 83, 49, 69, 73, 75, 86, 90 and 57 responded to this incident.
