Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash at 1200 Westheimer Road about 2:25 a.m. on April 19.The suspect, Kristina Chambers, 32, is facing a felony charge of intoxication manslaughter in the 339th State District Court. A booking photo of Chambers is attached to this news release.The deceased male victim is identified as Joseph McMullin, 33.HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer T. Smith reported:Chambers was driving a blue Porsche 911 Carrera westbound at the above address when she failed to maintain a single lane and struck a curb. The impact caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike Mr. McMullin, a pedestrian, on the sidewalk. The vehicle continued to travel and struck a pole in a nearby parking lot. Paramedics responded and pronounced McMullin deceased at the scene. Chambers and two passengers in the Porsche were transported to area hospitals. Further investigation determined Chambers showed signs of intoxication and she was subsequently charged. Chambers was released from a hospital and booked into jail on Monday (April 24).
