Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5028 Winnetka Street that occurred about 5:35 a.m. on April 2.
The suspect, Brandon Jerome Crenshaw, 35, is charged with murder in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Crenshaw is attached to this news release.
He is accused in the killing of Deonn K. Moore, 30.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Jorsch and L. Gonzales reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Moore lying between two houses. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators learned the shooting was the result of an argument. Further investigation identified Crenshaw as the suspect in this case and, on Monday (April 17), members of the HPD Northeast Crime Suppression Team arrested him without incident. He was subsequently charged.
