Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5028 Winnetka Street at about 5:35 a.m. on Sunday (April 4).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Persad and L. Gonzales reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found the victim lying between two houses. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital by Houston Fire Department paramedics where he was later pronounced deceased.
Investigators learned the shooting was the result of an argument. The suspect is described only as a medium build, black male, between 30 and 35 years of age, and approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall.
