Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6026 Gulfton Street about 5:40 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 12).
The identity of the victim, 52, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Detective M. Estep reported: Officers responded to a shooting call in a business parking lot at the above address and found the victim with gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Witnesses stated the victim may have gotten into an argument with the suspect. During the argument, the suspect shot the man and then fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described only as a heavy-set Hispanic male, 30 to 40 years of age.
