WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: November 30, 2022 at 10:56 p.m.
WHERE: 5300 block of Wenda St. 77033.
INJURIES: One deceased individual was found.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $168,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within six minutes to find a house on fire with a report of possible trapped people. They made an offensive attack and ventilated the home. Crews made a coordinated attack due to the fire involvement and fuel load. Several searches were conducted, and one deceased individual was found. Crews extinguished the fire, and the scene was secured and monitored with both HFD Arson investigators and HPD responding to investigate. Firefighters from Stations 46, 36, 23, 21, 24, 35, 55 and Rescue 42 responded to this incident.
