HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Montalvo reported:
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in front of a convenience store at the above address and found the unresponsive victim on the sidewalk. He had been shot multiple times and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
As responding officers were at the scene, Tucker approached them, identified himself as the shooter and produced the weapon he used to shoot the victim. Tucker stated to officers that he did it out of self-defense.
Further investigation and evidence from the scene did not match Tucker’s statement and he was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in the shooting.
