Houston police are investigating a shooting incident involving a Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy at 10402 Town and Country Way about 5:35 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 26).
The deputy who discharged his weapon was not injured. It is unknown if the male suspect who fled the scene was struck. HPD Special Investigations Unit Sergeant R. Flores and Detectives R. Anderson and J. Turner reported: The deputy received an alert that his vehicle alarm was activated. When he went to check on his vehicle in the parking garage, he observed a suspect inside the vehicle. The deputy identified himself and gave the suspect verbal commands. The suspect exited the deputy’s vehicle and got into a what is believed to be a white Toyota Camry. At that time, the suspect drove toward the deputy, who discharged his weapon at the suspect. The suspect was able to drive away from the location and flee the scene. It is unknown if the suspect was struck.
