Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 251 West Parker Road about 6:35 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 29).
Andres Eulalio Rodriguez, 21, is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 180th State District Court.
The identity of the victim, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detective K. Persad and L. Gonzales reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the gas station at the above address and found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses stated the victim was shot and then run over by the suspect in a silver sedan. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Detectives learned the suspect had an argument with his girlfriend earlier in the day and took the girlfriend’s vehicle. The girlfriend later located her vehicle at the gas station where she and the victim confronted the suspect. The argument escalated into the shooting.
On Friday (November 4) Rodriguez’s attorney contacted detectives and brought Rodriguez to homicide. After speaking with Rodriguez, he was subsequently arrested and charged for his role in the shooting.
