Houston police have released surveillance photos of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of a man found at 3143 Oakdale Street about 8:15 p.m. on Thursday (October 27).
The person of interest is believed to be a white or Hispanic male and approximately 30 years of age. Surveillance photos of the male are attached to this news release.
The identity of the victim, 55, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Miyako and Detective R. Waterwall reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a crash at the above address and found a black Nissan Rogue had crashed into a driveway fence. Paramedics found the driver suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers discovered the shooting occurred in an apartment complex located at 5500 Sampson Street. Investigators learned the person of interest exited the Nissan after the crash and fled the scene on foot.
