Investigation into Fatal Crash at 1900 Allen Parkway

Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 1900 Allen Parkway about 2 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 15).

The identity of the male victim, 26, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Le and Officer J. Best reported:

The victim was operating a motorcycle westbound at the above address when a black Dodge Ram pickup truck driving the wrong way – eastbound in the westbound lanes – struck the motorcycle head on.  The pickup truck then struck a light post before coming to a stop.  The driver fled on foot from the scene without stopping to render aid.  Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene.
