Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 5001 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 2:50 p.m. on Saturday (September 3).
The identity of the deceased female, 37, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Clark and Officer C. Song reported:
The deceased female was driving a gray Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed northbound at the above address when the vehicle struck a curb and went into the parking lot of a school. The vehicle traveled several hundred feet in the parking lot and struck a brick wall. Paramedics were called and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
No one was in the parking lot or the closed school at the time of the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
