HPD Homicide Division Detectives P. Pak, J. Wallschlaeger, R. Watson, B. Roberts and L. Lange reported:
Officers responded to a disturbance call involving a weapon at a gas station at 1183 West Tidwell Road and detained a male (Miller), who claimed to have shot multiple people at 1229 Neiman Lane. Miller directed patrol officers to the scene, a private lot containing multiple metal shipping containers. Officers located an unresponsive woman lying in the roadway and a man lying on the ground near a shipping container. Both victims had been shot. Paramedics pronounced the woman deceased and transported the man to a hospital. The officers proceeded to search a nearby shipping container, where they discovered another male victim with gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced the man deceased.
Detectives determined that individuals were occupying designated shipping containers as shelters at the location. The detectives interviewed MiIler, who admitted to his role in the shootings and was subsequently charged in the incident.
