HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives M. Combs and J. Blum reported:
HPD patrol officers were conducting an investigation in the area of North Shepherd and Lehman Road when an armed robbery occurred at a store at the above address. Officers later located the suspects’ vehicle and initiated a vehicle pursuit.
The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and evaded police at a high rate of speed on the 900 block of Lehman Road. The suspect vehicle then stopped and a back seat passenger exited the vehicle and fired at least once toward pursuing officers. No officers nor vehicles were struck by the gunfire. All suspects inside the vehicle exited and then fled on foot. The three suspects were arrested after a brief foot pursuit and were determined to be juveniles.
The investigation is continuing.
