UPDATE: Surveillance Video and Photo Released in Fatal Shooting at 8115 Gulf Freeway

Houston police have released surveillance video and a photo of a suspect vehicle in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 8115 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 8 p.m. on June 13.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be a newer model, black Nissan Rogue with out of state license plates. It was believed there were two occupants. The driver is described only as a black male. Surveillance video and image of the suspect vehicle is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Nicolette Davis, 31.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives B. Stephens and C. Vaughn reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to the parking lot of a gas station at the above address and found Ms. Davis suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

Investigators were advised that Davis was a passenger in a vehicle with three other persons traveling near the 8600 block of Glenvista Road when someone in another vehicle shot at the group’s vehicle.  The suspects fled the scene.  Realizing Davis was struck, her driver then stopped at a gas station to get help.

Further investigation identified the suspect vehicle as a Nissan Rogue.

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive in the shooting.
