WHAT: House Fire
WHEN: June 27, 2022 at 7:24 a.m.
WHERE: 3700 block of Bellfort, 77051
INJURIES: One civilian transported to the hospital for burns/smoke inhalation.
PROPERTY SAVED: $39,611 in estimated property saved.
DAMAGE: $40,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes to find fire coming from a 1-story home and made an offensive attack. An off-duty HFD firefighter and a bystander had helped to rescue a resident from the house. The resident was treated and transported to the hospital by HFD EMS. Crews conducted a primary search and ventilated the roof. The roof had a partial collapse and after the fire was fully controlled the area of the collapse was searched with no one found. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 46, 24, 35, 2, 15, 23, 21, 55 and Rescue 42 responded to this incident.
