UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 1200 Fairbanks Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 1200 Fairbanks Street about 11:55 a.m. on June 18.

The suspect, Quinnton R. Allen, 28, is charged with murder and unlawful carrying of a weapon in the 185th State District Court.  A booking photo of Allen is attached to this news release.
Allen is accused for his role in the death of Luis Espinoza, 29.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives D. Hobson and R. Rivera reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of the above address at 5600 Cochran Street.  Officers found Mr. Espinoza with multiple gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a Jeep Cherokee.  The vehicle had crash into a pole at 5600 Cochran.  Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Espinoza to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Further investigation identified Allen as the suspect in this case.  Allen was arrested on June 22 and subsequently charged.
