WHAT: 2-alarm apartment fire.

CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to reports of a possible tracked victim in an apartment with heavy fire coming from the first and second floor. They made an attack and conducted a primary search. No one was found. A second alarm was requested, and rehab was set-up for the HFD crews. The fire was controlled and HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Upon a secondary search, a dog was found in a kennel. The power company was contacted to respond as well. Eight units suffered from heavy fire damage and 16 units had smoke damage. The American Red Cross was requested to assist the residents. Firefighters from Stations 55, 26, 61, 24, 46, 36, 70, 33, 23, 15, 35, 17, 18, 25, 44 and Rehab 17 responded to this incident.
