WHAT: House Fire.
WHEN: June 18, 2022 at 6:30 p.m.
WHERE: 1700 block of Benson St. 77020
INJURIES: No reported injuries.
PROPERTY SAVED: Not available.
DAMAGE: $20,000 in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within two minutes to find smoke coming from a 1-story home and made an offensive attack. A primary search was conducted with no one found. All the occupants had made it safely out of the home. The utilities were controlled, and the fire was extinguished. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin. Crews from Stations 19, 27, 12, 20 and 30 responded to this incident.
