Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7126 Woodridge Drive about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday (June 25).
The identity of the victim, 58, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Arrington and Detective L. Kauffman reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at a residence at the above address and found the victim lying in the front yard. He had sustained several gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.
According to witnesses, the victim was walking along the sidewalk when a male suspect driving a vehicle stopped next to the victim. Two other males exited the vehicle from passenger side doors and shot the victim several times. The suspects then got back in the vehicle and fled eastbound on Woodridge Drive.
The suspects are described only as three black males in a white or gold, four-door sedan.
