Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8228 Swiss Lane

Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8228 Swiss Lane about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (June 15).

The identity of the victim, 59, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Watson and Detective R. Waterwall reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call outside the residence at the above address and found the victim unresponsive in the street.  The man had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.  Paramedics transported the victim to HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake where he was pronounced deceased.  The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene before officers arrived.

Detectives learned the victim was a family member of a man fatally shot at the same residence two nights earlier (June 13).

A preliminary investigation indicates the motive in both shootings appears to be robbery and narcotics-related.  The investigation is ongoing.
