CAUSE: Unintentional (cooking).
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The crews of Engine 84 and Ladder 84 arrived on scene within five minutes t find a kitchen fire in a 3-story apartment building. They quickly extinguished the fire and completed a primary search. The power was turned off to the unit and the firefighters removed the cabinets and stove to check for extension. No extension was found, and a fan was used to ventilate the smoke from the unit.
