Houston police have released surveillance photos of four suspects sought in the shooting of five men at 3000 Blodgett Street about 1 a.m. on February 17.
The shooter is described only as a Hispanic male. The three other unidentified suspects were seen handling firearms. Surveillance photos of the suspects are attached to this news release.
The victims, all in their 30s, were transported to area hospitals in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives A. Merino and V. Habukiha reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting at a restaurant/bar at the above address and initially located one victim with a gunshot wound to the hand. Paramedics transported the male to a hospital. The officers were then advised of four additional victims transported in private vehicles to local hospitals.
The preliminary investigation indicated a physical altercation began between two groups of people inside the business. The altercation was broken up and individuals were escorted outside the business. After the individuals stepped into the parking lot, a second altercation ensued and two unknown suspects pulled out guns and started shooting. The suspects, described at that time only as one black male and one Hispanic male, then fled the scene.
Anyone with information in this case or on the identities of the suspects in the photos is urged to contact the HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
