WHAT: Water Rescue
WHEN: March 10, 2022 at 6 p.m..
WHERE: Near the 2700 block of Freund, 77003
INJURIES: One civilian transported to the hospital.

CAUSE: Not applicable.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a victim who had fallen into the Buffalo Bayou with steep banks surrounding them. The crews stabilized the individual with a rope until HFD rescue arrived with a rescue boat. Once on scene, two members of the rescue team safely removed the victim from the water with the boat. The individual was brought to shore and transported to the hospital by waiting HFD EMS crews. Firefighters from Stations 18, 16, 19, 17 and Rescue 42 responded to this incident.
