DAMAGE: $72 thousand in estimated damage.
CAUSE: Under investigation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene within four minutes to find a 1-story home heavily involved on fire with a nearby home starting to catch fire. Crews made a defensive attack on the main fire while working to protect the nearby homes. Once the fire was fully controlled and extinguished, CenterPoint was contacted to control the utilities. HFD Arson investigators were requested to determine the cause and origin of the fire. Firefighters from Stations 30, 56, 45, 43, 32, 34, 23 and Rescue 42 responded to this incident.
