Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4010 McDuffie Street

Houston police are investigating the apparent murder-suicide of a man and a woman found at 4010 McDuffie Street about 1:25 p.m. on Monday (February 21).

The identities of the male and female are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, which will perform autopsies to determine manners and causes of death.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault and M. Burrow reported:

Officers responded to a call of a woman and her boyfriend found deceased inside an apartment at the above address.  Both had suffered gunshot wounds.  The bodies appeared to be in the early stages of decomposition.  Officers recovered a gun at the scene. 

At this time, the department does not believe there is a continuous threat to the general public.
