ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Firefighters arrived on scene with light smoke coming from a first-floor apartment unit. Smoke was found inside with a fire in the kitchen. A container was burning on the stove with the fire spreading to the vent hood. Crews extinguished the fire and conducted a primary search. They broke out a window to ventilate the unit and set up a fan. Firefighters from Stations 34 and 39 responded to this incident.
