Houston police have learned a man critically injured in a crash at 1000 Dolly Wright Street about 12:45 p.m. on September 3 has died.
The identity of the victim, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer X. Zhang reported:
The victim was driving a silver Toyota Solara northbound in the 7400 block of Mount Street and ran the stop sign at the intersection with Dolly Wright Street. A silver Cadillac CTS traveling eastbound on Dolly Wright struck the driver’s side of the Toyota that ran the stop sign. The victim and a male passenger, 54, in the Toyota were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The male driver, 52, of the Cadillac was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Medical staff advised investigators the victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital on September 18.
The investigation is continuing.
