Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5200 South Loop East (South Interstate Highway 610 East) service road about 8:30 p.m. last Friday (Aug. 20).
The identity of the victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Thompson and L. Patterson reported:
Officers were dispatched to a shooting call on the service road at the above address and observed the victim unresponsive inside his vehicle. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A female passenger in the vehicle was not injured.
At this time, there is no known motive or suspect description in the shooting.
