Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man and a woman at 201 Travis Street about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday (July 18).
The wounded persons, Jeremy Miller, 29, and Aralyn Martinez, 29, were transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Otero reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at the above address. Upon arrival, they found both individuals had been shot.
Further investigation determined the two wounded persons were in a dating relationship and had been at a bar. While inside their vehicle, the two began arguing. During the argument, Ms. Martinez reached for a firearm Mr. Miller kept in his lap. The firearm discharged, striking both of them.
Currently, there are no charges in this incident, pending further investigation.
