Houston police are investigating the shooting of two men at 600 Rushcreek Drive about 12:40 a.m. on Monday (June 28).
The victims, Anthony Perez, 30, and Mario D. Carter, 39, were transported to an area hospital in stable conditions.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer J. Blum and I. Rios-Hernandez reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and learned two men had been shot. Mr. Perez was shot once in the back and Mr. Carter was shot in the right elbow. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported both men to the hospital.
According to witnesses, Perez and Carter were in the parking lot of a convenience store when two vehicles drove westbound on Rushcreek. Multiple shots were fired in the direction of the two men, striking them both.
The suspects, described only as five black males, were driving in two separate vehicles, a white SUV and a dark-colored sedan.
