Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10600 East FM 1960 Road about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday (May 30).
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Uribe and Officer T. Phillips reported:
The driver of a white Chevrolet Cruz stated she was traveling eastbound on a bridge at the above address when the victim, a pedestrian, jumped in front of her vehicle, causing her to strike him. The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased.
The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries to her arm. A witness stated she was also driving eastbound at the above address and almost struck the victim, who was walking in the middle of the roadway.
There are no charges in this incident, as the investigation is continuing.
