| Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 6900 Fannin Street that occurred about 5:35 p.m. on April 27.
The identity of the victim, 80,is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Prejean and South Central Patrol Officer H. Basurto reported:
The driver of a silver Chevrolet Camaro was traveling eastbound on 1000 Pressler at 6900 Fannin when the driver of a silver Chevrolet Captiva, traveling northbound on Fannin, ran the red light and struck the Camaro. The passenger in the Captiva was transported to the hospital where, today (May 3) doctors pronounced her deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
