| Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a woman at 2612 Creston Drive about 1 p.m. on Thursday (April 29).
The victim, Caroline Halloway, 34, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers H. Martinez and L. Castellanos reported:
Ms. Halloway was walking home near the above address when she was approached by an unknown male suspect. The suspect stabbed Halloway multiple times with a broken glass bottle. As Halloway attempted to run away from the suspect, he followed her and assaulted her with a mallet. The suspect then fled the scene when Halloway called out for help. Paramedics were called and transported Halloway to the hospital.
