Houston police are investigating a shooting incident at 6100 East Freeway (East Interstate Highway 10) service road about 11:30 a.m. today (April 21).
A female, 2 years of age, was treated for scratches to her face.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers C, Brannen and S. Hall reported:
Two adults and two children were in a vehicle and traveling on Shotwell Street when they saw a black BMW sedan and almost got into a crash with the vehicle. The male driver of the BMW then became aggressive and started following the victims’ vehicle.
As the vehicles reached the 6100 block of the East Freeway, the BMW entered the freeway main lanes and the victims’ vehicle continued on the service road. The driver of the BMW then fired multiple shots at the victims’ vehicle, striking the back window. The window shattered and injured a 2-year-old girl in the back seat. The male driver, 25, female passenger, 21, and a 4-year-old female passenger were not injured.
The driver of the BMW is described only as a black male in his late 20s.
