| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7620 Katy Freeway that occurred about 9:50 p.m. on Sunday (April 4).
The victim is identified as Miguel Vasquez, 37.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives S. Overstreet and J. Escobar reported:
Mr. Vasquez and his daughter were walking to their vehicle in the parking lot of a business at the above address when a male suspect attempted to steal his property at gunpoint. During the robbery, the suspect fired at Vasquez and fled the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported Vasquez to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The daughter was not injured.
The suspects are described only as two to three unknown males.
