Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 10600 East F.M. 1960 about 8:15 p.m. on Sunday (January 17).
The identity of the female victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer K. Hines reported:
The victim was walking westbound in the main lanes of East F.M. 1960 over the McKay Bridge. The roadway is completely dark and she was struck by a red Infiniti G35 traveling westbound. The victim died at the scene. Narcotics paraphernalia and suspected narcotics were found in the victim’s possession.
The driver of the Infiniti, who remained at the scene, was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released.
The investigation is continuing.
