Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 15300 Appleridge Drive about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday (December 15).
The identity of the victim, 18, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detectives T. Tyler and B. Evans reported:
HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a reported crash at the above address. Upon arrival, they observed a gray Ford Focus parked in the cul-de-sac with the driver’s side front door open. Officers approached and found the victim unresponsive in the driver’s seat. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Further investigation revealed a white Toyota Sequoia arrived at the location several minutes before the shooting. When the victim arrived at approximately 9:30 p.m., several young black males approached his Ford Focus. One of the males shot the victim and then all five fled in the white Toyota.
