Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 7026 Lawndale Street that occurred about 9:50 p.m. on Thursday (December 3).
The identity of the male victim, 58, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Dudley and M. Arrington reported:
The male victim was working at the above location as a security guard and was standing outside when he was approached by the suspects. The suspects, described only as three black males, exited a newer-model black Chevrolet pickup truck, and approached the victim. Two of the suspects then shot and killed the victim after shining a flashlight in the victim’s face. The victim died at the scene. All three suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction immediately after the shooting.
