| Charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 7103 Eppes Street about 1:30 a.m. on September 27.
The suspects, Javier Hernandez (H/m, 22) and Anthony Aguilera (H/m, 17), are charged with capital murder for their roles in the death of Brandon Garcia, 29.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported:
Mr. Garcia’s father was awakened by a loud noise and Garcia screaming inside the residence at the above address. The father then heard a gunshot and found his son shot. Paramedics were called and transported Garcia to the hospital where he was pronounced deceaased.
Further investigation identified Hernandez and Aguilera as suspects in this case. Aguilera was taken into custody on Wednesday (December 2) following a vehicle pursuit with HPD officers and members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
Hernandez was charged on Wednesday (December 2). He was already in jail after being taken into custody on October 2 on an unrelated felon in possession of a weapon charge.
