| Charges have been filed against a suspect responsible for multiple sexual assault incidents that have occurred since 2018.
The suspect, Michael Ray Hubacek (w/m, 42), is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of sexual assault in the 209th State District Court. A booking photo of Hubacek is attached to this news release.
Hubacek is charged for his role in sexual assaults on the following dates and locations:
- 700 Sorella PVT Court on February 4, 2018
- 700 Sorella PVT Court on August 29, 2018
- 700 Sorella PVT Court between January 15 and January 25, 2020.
The victims are typically young, attractive females struggling with addiction, some had been ordered to complete a court-mandated drug rehabilitation program. Hubacek invited the victims to his residence and offered money, drugs or gifts in exchange for sexual favors. If the victims refused, Hubacek would resort to physical violence. In the above three incidents, two of the victims were under the influence while at the suspect’s residence.
An investigation by the HPD Special Victim’s Division and victim statements positively identified Hubacek as the suspect in this case.
