Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of two woman and two juveniles at 9635 Scott Street about 9:10 a.m. on Saturday (May 30).
The identity of the victim, 22, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found multiple persons had been struck by gunfire, including three adults and two juveniles. One male (victim) was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The other victims, a juvenile male, 2, a juvenile female, 12, and two adult females, 22 and 20, were transported to area hospitals and are expected to survive.
The suspect is described only as a black male, 18 to 20 years of age.
At this time, it has not been determined what led to the shooting.
