Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the shooting of a man at 11500 Keegans Ridge Road about 6:35 a.m. on May 31.
The suspect, Rogelio Rivero (H/m, 37), is charged with aggravated assault-serious bodily injury in the 351st State District Court. A booking photo of Rivero is attached to this news release.
The victim, 22, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officers R. Rivera and O. Flores reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim had been shot in the stomach. Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to the hospital.
Further investigation identified Rivero as the suspect in this case and he was arrested and subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.
