| Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 11800 East Freeway (Interstate Highway 10 East) about 3:25 a.m. today (May 22).
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Pham and Officer Crisler reported:
The victim, a pedestrian, attempted to cross the main lanes of the freeway at the above address when he was struck by a black Cadillac CTS traveling eastbound on the freeway. The driver of the Cadillac immediately stopped. Paramedics were called and pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Cadillac showed no signs of intoxication and was questioned and released. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.
