Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man that occurred at 3810 Liberty Road about 1:10 p.m. on Sunday (February 16).
The victim, Kelvin Patton, 28, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Officer S. Laird reported:
Mr. Patton was sitting in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with his girlfriend in the passenger seat at the gas pumps at a convenience store at the above address. Patton was approached on the passenger’s side of the vehicle by a known suspect, who then opened the door. The suspect began arguing with Patton, stating that he stole money from him. The suspect then pulled a gun and fired several times, striking Patton more than once. The suspect fled the scene. Paramedics transported Patton to an area hospital.
