| Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 2812 Cetti Street about 1:10 a.m. today (September 26).
The identity of the victim, 20, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Daignault reported:
The victim suffered a gunshot wound while at the above address and was transported by paramedics to Memorial Hermann Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The victim’s boyfriend told responding HPD patrol officers the woman was attempting to commit suicide when he attempted to take the gun from her and it discharged.
The investigation is continuing.
