Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man that occurred at 6600 Knox Street about 1:10 a.m. today (May 22).
The victim, Fredrick East, 42, was transported to an area hospital in stable condition.
HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detectives G. Black and J. Roberts reported:
Officers responding to a shooting call in the 6500 block of Tuskegee learned the incident was actually a stabbing that occurred at the above address. Detectives learned Mr. East and the suspect, who he knows as “Billy Ray,” began arguing over a bicycle. During the argument, East began running from the suspect, who was armed with a hammer.
The suspect caught up with East in the 6600 block of Knox and struck East with the claw end of the hammer. East then ran to the 6500 block of Tuskegee Street where paramedics and police were called to the scene.
