3rd UPDATE: Second Suspect Arrested, Charged in 2021 Fatal Shooting at 12101 Fondren Road

Charges have been filed against a second suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man, a woman and a juvenile female and the wounding of a second juvenile female at 12101 Fondren Road about 10:35 p.m. on June 30, 2021.

The suspect, Alexus Williams, 29, is charged with three counts of capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 180th State District Court.  A booking photo of Williams is attached to this news release.

The first suspect, Xavier Davis, was arrested and charged in July 2021 with three counts of capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the fatal shootings of Harmony Carhee, 6, Donyavia Lagway, 29 and Gregory Carhee, 35.  A second juvenile female, 10, was transported to an area hospital where she was treated and released.  A July 2021 booking photo of Davis is attached to this news release.

Davis is also charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon for his role in a carjacking an hour before the murders.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective T. Andrade reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to a shooting at the above address and found Ms. Lagway, Mr. Carhee and Harmony Carhee deceased with gunshot wounds.  Paramedics transported the 10-year-old female to the hospital.

At that time, the suspect was described only as a black male in his 20s.

An initial investigation led to information that identified Davis as the suspect in this case.  He was taken into custody on Thursday (July 1) on an unrelated family violence charge and was subsequently charged for his role in the shooting.

Additional investigation determined Davis allegedly committed an aggravated robbery near the 10000 block of Larkwood and stole a Jeep Compass about an hour prior to the shooting at Fondren.  The Jeep was seen fleeing the Fondren scene immediately after the shooting.  On July 6, 2021, Davis was also charged for his role in the robbery.

Further investigation determined a second suspect, Alexus Williams, had a prior dating relationship with one of the victims, Ms. Lagway, and they had broken up shortly before the shootings.  Investigators learned Williams arranged the robbery and suspect Davis was the shooter.  Williams and Davis had been friends since they were children.

On Wednesday (March 2), Williams was arrested and charged for her role in this incident.
