Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a male in the 8700 block of Blackhawk Ridge Lane about 3:55 p.m. on May 7.
The juvenile male suspect, 16, was referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation Authorities on a charge of aggravated robbery. The name and photo of the juvenile suspect is not releasable.
The deceased male is identified as Jadiel Rodriguez, 16.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Nielsen and Detective A. Herrera reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and located a juvenile male with multiple gunshot wounds. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Officers learned a second male also suffered at least one gunshot wound and was transported to an area hospital.
Further investigation identified the injured male as a suspect in this incident and he was subsequently charged for his role. On August 5, the juvenile suspect turned himself in.
On May 22, investigators released a photo of person of interest only known as “Junior.” That individual is still wanted for questioning.
